did (does) LSD lose it's magic?

I took about 3 geltabs of acid about 6 hours ago but really all I did was get high on it, there doesn't seem to be anything here that is like I remember it. *this belongs in S&P because this lack of anything is a devastating blow to my S&P.

I thought you were talking about after so many trips does it lose something. To that I was going to reply that at times I had felt like every trip was "been there done that" and I would just be waiting for the trip to pass. That feeling eventualy passed and I don't get that feeling anymore.

It was your specific acid or your specific state of mind.
From what I can tell, acid is a complex creature with lots to teach, and if you approach it thusly (and the acid was made properly) it will behave thusly. (And i'm pretty sure it is evolving into levels of higher complexity the more people use it.)

I don't think the quality per se was the issue, I mean, it wasn't bunk acid or anything- I was kept up all night and into the morning, but it just wasn't an _event_ if you will. I'm thinking that it's just me, cause everyone else who ate this acid was all impressed with it and whatnot...
or maybe I'm too hung up on neat visuals, which were pretty absent...

Sometimes you'll think acid has lost its magic, and then you'll do it again sometime, in the right situation, and you'll be blown away.
Try doing it in a different place, doing different things.

yeah, in retrospect, it was probably just weak, but it seems unlikey that it was weaker than one hit of moderately good sid that I could take just one of and have more of a "special" trip if you will.
yeah... anyway... lets all send out good thoughts for the next acid I come across...

I tripped a hundred times and only the first ten or so were worth a shit. As said above I find it very physically intense and it messes up my musculoskeletar system and I find it just way too stressful. They say that it really takes two full years to wear off. I swore off it ten years ago, and will continue to swear off it, until someone thumbprints me. (Macho swagger here) That sounds interesting.

half life of lsd in blood is 2 hours. LSD is metabolized in the liver and is excreted in the urine in about 24 hours.
anyone that tells you 2 years is full of shit, anything youve hung on to for 10 years is totally mental. maybe meditate some, actually think about the trip you had, once you understand it it will go away.

Three top things to consider:
1.) Integrity & Quality of Acid and which of course is inexplicably interlinked and related with the integrity and quality of the chemists who CREATE the acid.
2.) The mental/physical (mostly mental) tolerance and reaction to Acid, as well as the mental attitude and psyche of the trippee at the time being, how mentally prepared or unprepared, how intense their "energy" and willpower their desire to trip, is.
3.) The environmental settings in which the trippee surrounds themselves with, including factors such as daytime or nighttime (nighttime is best for visuals), the characters of people the trippee surrounds themselves with, which obviously can have tremendous influence on the outcome of any trip, and also as importantly, the security of the environment that surrounds the trippee, although much of what amount of security the trippee will feel from the environment still depends on their own mental security within themselves. If they dont feel confident, then chances are, their trip is going to be very volatile and unstable.
I usually find that the PEOPLE with whom I surround myself with is the most important, at least as far as having a positive trip. Eliminate all assholes.
As far as the intensity and quality of the trip, I find that psyching yourself up, mentally, getting all "powered-up" prior to and after dosing, REALLY helps dramatically. Hallucinogens are like mental magnifying glasses, whatever you feel, think, "see", etc, will be increased 1000x. So it's crucial to use this knowledge to your own advantage when creating your own "tripworld", so to speak.
I do believe that acid's quality probably isnt the same as it used to be back in the 60s or 70s. Damn DEA.
DEA is the first three letters in DEATH. How ironic.

i was thinking about it, but it wouldn't make much sense. I was in a pure state of psychosis for more than a few hours followed by my mind going way to fast and everything being shoved down a little tube trying to process it all, mindloops coming down and of course theres blank spots since it was afterall a total of 30 hours
Nevertheless i had a good friend with me explaining and consoling me coming down. I tas truly enlightening, though,
