This is my first go at growing and i'm kind of worried about a fuzz which is developing on my cakes, the cakes were moved into the tank about 1week ago and i am not sure when the fuzz started. i can't really tell from looking at other pics of "cobweb" contaminated cakes if that is what i have.
Ps. those big ass marks in the sides of the cake are from a fork, they just didn't want to leave the jars . god knows they spent long enough there. Speaking of which is it bad if they spent 3ish months in the jars before coming out?
Fuzz on cakes is normal. It does that most of the time. If it spent around 3 months in your jars and didn't want to leave, well, you weren't lucky cause most of the time they kinda shrink and slip outside pretty easily . Did you dunk the cake ? You should.
But man, cake that don't want to come out are a serious pain in the ass. Last week 8 of my cakes did that to me. I was so pissed of trying and breaking them by pulling to hard that I jumped on my hammer and broke all my f**ing jars into pieces. I won. And lost so many jars.
thanks a lot for the info . how do you dunk a cake, i've read something about using a 200:1 water to bleach mix but thats as far as my knowledge goes, if you've got any links to a "how to" page on dunking that would be great. anyway thanks again i'm unbelievably relieved.
