Grilled PB&J
    #2153425 - 12/03/03 12:15 AM (13 years, 11 days ago)

Make a pb&j sandwich and spread butter on the top. Grill it like a grilled cheese. Be careful of molten hot jelly! Tell me what you think. I posted this about a year and a half ago and no one tried it.

Of course. My aunt showed me when I was little. Why won't anyone try it?

I would try it if I had a peanut butter.. or jelly.. or bread for that matter.  I have the butter but that won't get me too far unless I'm aiming for a heart attack

I do absolutely love fried bread with butter though.. it gets crispy and salty - fucking delicious one might say.  I'd be sure not to put too much jelly on that thing (but that's just my own taste).

i will try it when i get some peanut butter. unfortunately, they don't see peanut butter at every supermarket around where i live, i'd have to visit the "special" supermarket in the centre where foreigners request for some foods to be sold there and they sell it...so i'm sure peanutbutter is there.

but i agree with geo, fried bread is the shit...it's also good when u dip it into egg yolk and into beans  ahhhh english breakfast rules

I've done this before I read this thread... and it is DAMN GOOD.

MY fave though is fried banana sandwiches... I think I got it off of some thing I got in like elementary school about Elvis...

anyway you take two peices of bread, spread PB on one side of each slice, add some thinly sliced banana then squeeze some hershey's chocolate syrup over the bananas. put the sandwich together, butter the other sides, cook like a grilled cheese, then sprinkle powdered sugar over the top of the sandwich.

that's DAMN good. it's best if you have one of those 'sandwich makers' things that look kinda like a mini waffle iron... they like seal the peices of bread together that way you don't have any flamin hot banana slices falling and burning you

Hellz yeah, I've had PB and Bananna sandwiches before, never that complicated though.  Mine are just PB and bannana slices on bread, buttered on the outside and fried.  Drippy warm peanut butter is the best.
