Help me grow in my attic!

Garage attic hehe. I have an attic just like it in my house too, but the one in the garage is bigger and maybe a little safer.
Ideally I would keep growing in the spare bedroom, but I am on probation and I know walk throughs are rare but shit happens and I would feel better having it all up in an attic (the kind with the pulldown ladder nobody ever goes in).
Its nice too I have all the space I could need up there. I can even devote an area to my flowhood for lab space, I know its an attic but its actually quite easy to keep clean. Its the girlfriend who owns the house I just pay into mortgage/bills and Im sure shed prefer me to have it all up there anyways.
I guess the real issue is temperature. I live in NY and the winters are quite rough, probably not gunna happen during the winter.
I cant make any crazy alterations but I am looking for reasonable solutions. Ive been looking at growrooms for pot and it seems a lot of them can use a pair of squirell cage blowers hooked up to a thermostat so that it will cool the room when it needs to, so maybe that coupled with some kind of heater hooked up to a thermostat as well?
I was growing in my attic last summer and the temp would swing from 50 to 104 during night and day. The tubs didnt seem to mind but I only kept fully colonized tubs that were being fruited up there, no spawn or colonized tubs. So I guess I should try to stabalize the temps up there.
Any sugguestions? I dont have a lot of money to invest in this so it cant get too technical it just has to work haha. I fruit in monotubs BTW
It doesnt look like much but it has potential, an attic above a garage haha

Just misdemeanor so 3 years, probably a year and a half. They do home visits but they dont come inside, not gunna toss the house like parole would for no reason.
But that is only one of many reasons to keep this hobby all in one place nobody wouod see on a tour of the house
I mean a lot more goes into a growroom for weed, I just started looking at the designs for those type of growrooms and I guess thats the place to get this sort of info! All I need is a room I can clean with a stable temp, seems fair nuff

Well I hope everything goes well, only advice I have is make sure your SO is really okay with it, if they search up there, she could loose her house. Good luck!

Yea she knows whats up, unless you talk a lot its kinda hard to get caught w mushrooms but having a PO is a liability albiet a small one.
Which is why I am aiming to have everything associated with cultivation up and out of the house, out of site out of mind. Just added protection and the bonus of tons of space!
It seems cooling the atic will be the easy part, run a blower in from one of the attic vents and then a blower out the other vent, with an automatic thermostat. Easy peasy lemon squeezey.
And I think I could do the opposite with heaters to kick on when it gets cold. But what type of space heater is safe enough tp trust to kick on/off and be left unnatended http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TTV2QS/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=wwwferoledeur-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000TTV2QS. Something like this?
