Taking more from a batch that caused throwing up

Hi everyone, my brother took three mushroom infused cookies/brownies last night and it made him incredibly nauseous, caused him to throw up, and to have a bad trip. Before his trip, he gave me a single mushroom infused cookie, a third of the dosage he consumed. He gave it to me since he had extra and I had previously expressed an interest in trying mushrooms, which I've never done before.
So, now I have this mushroom cookie, which I'm eager to try, but I'm concerned that the nausea he experienced may have been caused by the batch of cookies itself being bad. So even with a third of the dosage, I'm worried that I might inevitably throw up, and have a bad trip. I'm totally not interested in having that happen.
I have a few questions. Would it be wise of me to look for a different source of mushrooms? Is it likely that the high dosage caused his nausea or more likely that the batch is simply bad? Is nausea a common effect of magic mushrooms, and if so, do the standard treatments (such as fresh air, ginger, and marijuana) work well to alleviate it?
Thanks for your help!

Some people get intense nausea, everyone is different. I know someone who even gets painful cramps from shrooms too.
Personally, I get no nausea from them at all, infact the stomach sensations turn into that stomach feeling you get on opaites, a warm feeling that slowly envelopes your body. By the time you start to trip, your body feels very warm and stoned. It is really pleasant. Smoking weed while coming up for me feels like 30mg oxy with no tolerance, it is really good lol
Then there's the group of people that just get a little nausea. Most people fit in this category.

Nausea effects quite a few people on magic mushrooms, and usually after throwing up I have an amazing trip. What is the dosage of each cookie? It was most likely not the batch of mushrooms itself.
I always find sitting still gets rid of any slight nausea, but I have a bit of an iron stomach.

Yeah some people just get sickly.
Try some ginger tea or something, best thing for nausea.

Nausea from psilocybin mushrooms is quite common. Marijuana will probably help the nausea, as well as sitting still or lying down still. I would eat the cookie if i were you, on an empty stomach. Personally i never get nauseated from eating mushrooms.

No, nausea is not a common issue with mushrooms at all. It is mostly caused by low quality or due to mushrooms being unfresh, not dried correctly etc. Where did he get these mushrooms from? Is he 100% sure that these are the right species?

Nausea from mushrooms is pretty common... It comes from the actual mushroom material being broken down in the stomach. Also the psychedelic effects can cause nausea on its own. I've had friends get nausea on LSD.

Oh I'm lucky then, I hardly get any nausea. I always try to pick nicest mushrooms in the field. I leave all bad ones.
