Would you guys still make transfers from these? Work got real busy and I've let these go on the back burner a little long.

Cool, kinda thought it would be ok but wasn't sure.
Another question, would you transfer from the leading edge off the glass or just from the agar?

Take your pick, when it's fully colonized like that it doesn't make a difference where it comes from. The edges might be slightly younger than the center but not enough to make a difference

Quick 2 question ,I'm about to whip up some pasty plates and was wondering how important the filter hole in the lid was (can you get away without one?) and I got clear agar bars this time, it's all they had. I normally use red, I have to add food coloring so is there a better color to use other than red?

I'm pretty sure if you PC them without a GE hole they will collapse in on themselves.

I don't imagine fae is good for agar plates, but I could be wrong.
I'd don't think color much makes a big difference either, I'd use purple.
Also, did you get a warning for removing your op pics?

You just stuff the hole with polyfill. All things need GE even agar. If you wrap your petris with plastic wrap it still somehow finds a small hole in it for gas exchange

Would be funny if you fruited the plate OP, I'd cut out the pin or shroom and clone it

Pasty says to use a 1/4 inch hole for GE and cover with micropore tape! Use 2 pieces of tape if your gonna keep em around for awhile! Micropore tape 3M can be bought at Walgreen's or a pharmacy! It will stay good in the pressure cooker! Make sure u read pasty's tek really good!!

Yea I just pulled these out the pc, been making pasty plates for a while now, was just wondering how important the ge hole was. All my lids that I drilled are being held up on either grain jars or agar plates and was feeling lazy and didn't want to drill em but I got off my ass and just drilled em
