They are popping up quite a lot now near where I live, in different areas. Unless they are apreaing but I don't think so.

The Gym's are starting to pop up again too, here are some more photo's.
Sorry for the lighting/glare. Still learning to use this camera.

This one is something special, i saw it once last year on the same log. It has a faint dark purplish and orange colours on the cap. There were quite a few of them today. I didn't have time to get the colours to pronounce too well with camera settings but theres a few comparison shots.

These ones show the colour a bit better

A few more photos-

Unknown Amanita species

Armillaria species

Hey Shroomery, first time posting.
Went for my first look around yesterday, came across these.
Any Idea what these are or if active at all?
Cheers!

Went for a hunt today. The better part of the mushroom season is well and truly over for Gym's in Perth but environmental conditions are magnificent as we transition into spring. This is the sort of habitat all you WA hunters should be looking for, thrown in with some scenic shots for your enjoyment . Hadn't been for a proper look in this spot for a while, all this so close to the big smoke.

Geez! I just spent the whole season hunting and was getting annoyed at the amount of gyms I came across. I did not even know they where active ;( Is allantopus the inactive species? Find that most commonly!
Anyone have the species of the bruising Gyms? or is it all still speculative. Heres a few images of some Gyms I found, I think they are all Allantopus though not 100%.

After a bit of rain in the west found these in a compost patch, only shrooms seen growing in this district so may have come in on garden mulch,

Pretty sure inactive, pins appeared last night and little caps in the morning, Wonder if pine mulch would harbor anything more juicy? Its a long way to the pine forest from here
