UnCased Casing, what happens??

hi everyone , i am currently working on a creeper casing 100% straw its nearly 85% colonized , what would happen is when its 100%colonized i stick it in the fruitting chamber? would it be better or is it better to just cover with some 50/50 and let myc show up evenly?
because i was seeing a straw log tek so i was thinking that maybe its the same thing??

It will fruit just fine uncased, but you will usually get a lot better pinset and a bigger yield if you case it.
