First Reshi and Turkey Tail Grow!

Hey guys thought I'd share some pics of my first turkey tail and reishi grows! innoculted with an agar wedge in my SAB on the 27th of Feb, first fully colonized reishi jar was today so 15 days all up! Ill be making a double extraction using the mycelium/fruits once they are done!
Turkey Tail

Reishi

Liquid culture with mycelium film

Heres some pics grown on WBS 5% gypsum mix, anyone had a LC grow like that? it was inoculated with a wedge its a dark malt extract (ran out of light) so hence the color!
I was thinking of in-vitro fruiting the reishi in my Martha would this be viable? Also is there a cheaper alternative than using spawn bags to fruit these species if I wanted a larger yield - is there a cheaper bag used just for fruiting and not incubation and pressure cooking, I only have a few on hand was not expecting the spawn to colonize so quickly!
Pretty stoked with the results! only 2 out of 25 jars all up got a contam

Looking good my friend
You can always just fruit right out of quart jars or any kind of plastic bag that can withstand pasteurization temps for bulk spawning.

Hello Sharpstuff. your cultures look great!!

I had a question regarding the LC with mycellium film : How do you do that? I tried searching but no trace anywhere I guess it's easier for the mycellium to grow on the film than in the bottom and shoudl also show if there's any sign of contams... did I get it right?

I have no idea TBH.
It was inoculated with a agar wedge and its actully quite anoying. Can't suck up liquid with a syringe which defeats the whole point in the LC.
However it may server some other purpose!

The film forms with time. Be sure to swirl your lc to avoid its forming.
-------------------- But if you're in a hurry, and really got to go If you're in a hurry, might have to find out slow That it's one thing to try and another to fly You get there quicker just a step at a time It's one thing to bark, another to bite The show ain't over till you pack up at night

Nah that film actually grew within 3-4 days of inoculation, I think it was due to not aerating my LC after PC so it just grew on the top of the broth.

Went well ! Ended up making a tincture with the mycelium as I don't have the space to set up a fruiting environment in my current situation!
Very easy fungus to grow!
