It is a possibility but dont jumo the gun and eat it. check the base for blue or green. If its ever a question in your mind that sounds ever like "is that blue? It seeems bluish.."
Cause if it "seems", it should be a "I know thats blue"
And always wait for a trusted identifer until you are comfortable you wont kill yourself. which should be never. Always excercise caution.
those damn mountin lions though

They're G. junonius. The other species mentioned isn't from Aotearoa.
Whether or not they're worth eating is up to you. They're not reported to be active from NZ/Aus but this information isn't concrete. A starting dose will be 150 grams dried, and no guarantee that it will do anything. There's much better mushrooms to be found in NZ with a higher Psilocybin content. I'd recommend you start with one of those. Up to you.

Thank you for the ID, and yes it does not seem to be worth the trouble.
I will look for others in around Auckland, do you know of a single thread here where most commonly found species are listed with pictures?

The best threads to view what grows around Auckland are probably 'The Official New Zealand Psilocybin Mushroom Seasons' Threads.
Here's links to the previous Two years:
2013 thread
2014 thread
There's also this years thread, which is on the forum's front page currently. Watch that one for what's poppin up around you.

This is a bad way to dry mushrooms, you should never store any fresh mushrooms in plastic bags, or even really put them in plastic bags at all, for any length of time, if you can help it. I guess if you wanted to freeze them is the only exception to this rule, but most mushrooms don't do well frozen anyway.
Also, I know some people dry edibles or medicinal mushrooms in the sun, but I think that Psilocybin & related compounds can break down in UV light.
