I mean in a scientific sense...But only if by us you mean the entire human collective spirit
well that's only because science really cannot prove much because its just a measurement of the physical. But science's problem is that it doesn't evaluate what the physical actually is..it just measures it. So until it does, we are just going to keep getting the same results.

akira and ImS18...calm down guys.
in the end there is no way to tell who is right. We can only base our logic on our experiences and intuition. If akira believes we just rot when we die, he has the same chance of being right as ImsI8 about his idea of being eternal.
I mean..i myself believe that there is something more. I feel like ever since I got into psychedelics, that I am like a horse following a carrot that's being held in front of my nose by hyper-beings, dead people...God..whatever. Something as big or bigger than myself. I feel like I am being led on, where before I was using psychs I had no guidance. I feel like my life was is a story of "seek and you will find the treasure at the end"...but will there really be treasure at the end? Right now, I cannot be sure. I can only hope and continue to evolve.

On numerous trips I experienced myself being part of an evolutionary branch of the huge thing that is organic life. Absolutely awesome and nothing divine about it.
So all these so called souls were kept in storage somewhere for billions of years until life started to emerge and reached a certain level for it to contain a soul (I am assuming the primordial soup of cellular organisms did not have souls or karma). And from that specific point in time more and more souls just trickled onto earth.
And the dinosaurs had souls and reincarnated too? But a bad dinosaur reincarnated as a hungry ghost?

Obviously such tings make little sense if thought of on purely the physical plane... Especially if one believes consciousness is a purely physical phenomenon generated from purely physical means.
If one thinks of consciousness as a universally present extra-dimensional quantum field however..

Your numerous trips never showed that its only ever been one soul?

Maybe I could go as far as considering 'life' to be a single organism. I dont believe in an eternal soul

No, they don't have an equal chance of being right. If they did then *any* guess is equally right. So I think we all turn into a 40,000 pound carrot with 17 butts on its front side and 42 eye balls on its back. Am I just as right too?
No, the most logical and simplest and least miraculous explanation is going to be correct, ie, you stop living and cease to exist after you die.

Life's very existence spits in the face of the veracity of that line of reasoning
The only reason it seems to be true is because we've only ever managed to really piece together the simplest and least miraculous things.

anything you believe is delusion. It's not fundamentally a bad thing. People claim to be aware of other lives they have lived. I just accept that may be their reality. Who am I(we) to know what someone else experiences?
The way I see it, is that we are creating reality in each moment. If there are other lives we have lived, they must also be contained in this moment.

It all boils down to nobody knows. There is no right answer. Joe Blow down the street might be just as right about there being no God as I am that there is. Calling someone else delusional because they don't belive what you do is plain childish.
In my opinion everyone has to find their own answer. It's all a coping mechanism. A way to make sense of death and eventuality.

Memories are biological. If you accept the spirit than you must accept that all knowledge on your passing goes along with your meat bag.

I think in an oscillating universe or multi-dimensional model reincarnation is very possible, but body and mind would probably be interchange-able.
