You could put it to agar and try to clean up a culture, since you didnt take it under sterile condition I wouldnt use it for a syringe

Thanks I will look into agar. Are you saying I should use tinfoil in stead of a piece of paper? This was taken with cleanliness in mind also in a makeshift SAB.

I pc pre cut pieces of foil and keep them in the jar until I'm ready to take prints which I do inside my glove box to try and stay as clean as possible. You will never be 100% sterile taking prints but the cleaner you can be the easier it is to get going wether it be on agar or syringe

Oh well it might be clean actually I just assumed it was out of the SAB with the air settling down on it and whatnot did you cover it?
But yea, foil is sterile enough for prints if you tear off a sheet first and toss it
And ^ what he said .. just makes it easier to clean on agar. If you have a real clean print you cam make a syringe (which you still should put to agar but if youre doing say PF tek, brf is usually forgiving enough for syringe)

You dont have to isolate but you wanna at least make a few transfers before putting your culture to grain.
Its kinda hard to put agar to PF tek.
I doubt the surface of the paper was sterile which might make your spore syringe dirty, which is why I recomend agar because it is a great tool that allows you to clean a culture.
Like I think an outside print you always wanna put to agar, indoor takem under good conditions you could chance to putting to syringe

You could make an easy LI with a colonized agar dish, and shoot that into some pf cakes. But if you have a PC to sterilize agar, just make up some grain jars and go big.

I hear you can PC parchment paper and the spores can be "poured" into a shot glass then syringes up with sterile water. Haven't done it but seems plausible for PF's..

I dont know what you mean about this but if you are talking about a spore syringe all you need to do is scrape off some spores into sterile water to suck up, this is standard practice for making a spore syringe from print.
One print can make 10-20 syringes. But they are worthless if they aremt clean

Essentially skipping the scraping step since the fall off of the paper into the water..

Like squirting some sterile water onto print, swirling a loop around to loosen the spores and then pour into the water?
Yea that would work thats how I make my syringes

Print inside sterilized 1/2 pint jars and you can just put sterile water into the jar, stir it up and fill your syringes

Any particular reason you want to grow that shroom out? I don't think it is active. Im not the best ID person out there but it looks like panaeolus papilionaceus.

Fish hooks and some line for the use of half pint to lower the cap into the jar, but the shorty 4oz may be easier.. just PC the foil in the jar that your using.
Have an injection port lid

I just assumed you knew what species it was. Ps. Cubensis, pan cyan/pan cambo/ps mexicana and all the different varieties grow well indoors.

I think this one is Panaeolus olivaceus that is what a TI told me but I was hoping for more input on the species. It was found growing in a grassy area next to the river PNW.I did not see any bruising how can I tell the difference?
