Economically to me it isn't worth it if you're from the midwest or south - the cost of living is drastically higher in almost everywhere with the 'progressive' tag that it wouldn't make sense. If you're close to the east coast or a northeaster then might be worth considering as their cost of living is more comparable.

Wow, that's crazy. Go to the high class suburban areas. Not really high class but decent places to live in. If you can meet someone there who smokes and build a friendship you're probably going to strike a good deal. May have to meet a few people but eventually you'll find someone.

I could see you having a problem if your dealer was your personal friend, but there's a risk involved in providing a service selling an illegal substance, and it is a business.
Unless he's growing it himself, you have no idea how many middlemen are involved by the time it gets to you. He can't charge what he does unless he has customers that pay that price. Maybe he sees you as an easy target.

A lot of us really don't have the time, savviness, resources, nor the proper location in order to grow weed dude. I live with a roommate who doesn't care that I smoke weed, but if I were growing, that would be a completely different story.
The times I've TRIED growing, it DIED all 3 times that I tried.
Maybe I will try it again when I have MY OWN place and am making better money to afford all the supplies and shit, but for now, I need to pay for my weed.
Another thing, growing weed is not super easy like growing shrooms. Weed needs a lot of TLC, whereas shrooms only need like a minute or two of maintenance a day (fanning and misting 3 times a day).

I personally find cannabis easier to grow than shrooms because it's less sciencey. I've grown outdoors geurilla style many times and part of the point of growing that way is it doesn't really take a lot of maintenance.
It's rainy most of the year in Ohio so I could get away with not checking the plants any more than once a week, sometimes once every other week. During the drought in mid-summer that comes most years it might take every few days. The most time-consuming part of it really is just getting to the plants.

I have never paid more than $10 a gram and it's nearly always good to better than good herb. Then again I live in the PNW.

I pay it but I'm getting tired of it. $60 an eighth. I would buy a quarter but it's $120 so I'm not saving anything and plus an eighth lasts me almost a month.
