two bags , almost same conditions different fruit

these two bags are of the same batch , the one on the right is bigger (turkey oven bag vs whole chicken oven bag) . other than that the substrate is the same , spawning was made under very similar condition, spawn quantity may be a little different because i dont measure when spawning. spawn is the clone of a store bought oyster , i dont have any other kind of blue oyster spawn. the right one is on the second flush but the first flush was similar. the only difference is the left one stayed on the incubation 10 more days. there is an AE problem in my FC which is basically a GH in closed balcony on the north side of the house, no direct sunlight . i dont have anything running for air or humidity . but humidity stays at 75-95 , temp 11-20. but i can see the AE problem because at night i have to close the windows. when open , windows get enough air , i think. i did not have an contam problem in FC yet. what may cause this difference in mushrooms. whatever it is , i want to do more of what i did with the left one.

it is impossible for the bag to get too hot, they are in the same GH. may it be because one is fruiting at the top the other at the side

i would guess that the right bag fruited way earlier and is curling upwards because of that, and the left ones are younger.

Didn't you say that one was 10 days behind the other?

right ones are much older
did you fruit the left one with the bag still on and just a hole?
did you fruit the right one with the top of the bag cut off?

yes niki , i cut the top of right when put in fruiting . left one i cut not a hole but a smaller than whole top opening. , right one is at the second flush , the other at first . i kept left one in incubation more because it did not seem fully colonized.

Right hand oysters are over mature. Pick just as the caps begin to flatten out.

that's the difference. they're not the same conditions, as you stated. the left one looks nice because its the first flush and you left the bag on. the second one looks dry and leggy because its the second flush and you had the bag cut. leave the bag next time and just cut holes like the left one. and pick them 4 days before they get to the point of looking like the right one.

now i can say i understand the difference . the shape is determined by the AE conditions during first pinning . the left one has pinned under limited AE. a few days later i opened the windows and the right one pinned after that. i am confident about this because the left one fruited as normal at the third flush.
