Yes. I practice elements of all religions and see the beauty and benefit of all, but I strongly oppose "missionaries" and aggressive conversion, I always wince when I hear a christian say they are going to some developing country to try and convert people, to me that shows enormous cultural arrogance, believing your religion is better or more true then the ancient ways of life and cultural traditions of other peoples.

I don't believe you need to be a christian to be saved or that christianity is better then any other religion, I believe all have good aspects and people should take the good parts of each and leave aside anything in any religion that doesn't ring true or seem compassionate or just.

There is a LOT of garbage and baggage attached to christianity that must be abandoned if the christian is also to be a good person.

Excellent post.

"The universe is endless, limitless and infinite.  Any effort to define it's boundaries is an attempt to overcome ignorance.  We are physical, mental and spiritual beings ... there is no beginning and there is no end.  There is only memory.  Our repeated loss of memory experiences create the illusion of beginnings and ends.  Immortality is the ability to retain full memory through all consciousness transformations.  Loss of memory is man's greatest curse and, in very real terms, death."

quoted for truth, the idea that jesus saves is misguided the way christianity is organized.

Again well said Orca about Christianity and Muslim converting and believing that it is the 'Only one way to salvation'. People can find spirituality and happiness through many ways, and in no way is it right for someone to go out and 'convert'. Unless a person requests to learn.
