Thank you! I've been quietly creeping, for a while. No idea why it took me so long to join. :P I consider myself a seasoned veteran when it comes to tripping but cultivation is a brand new bag, for me. I still have a lot to learn. Baby steps.

Yea I tried em both ways and they both had similar results. Horse a piece, and I like to be different lol
Are you saying you've seen no difference from a tub with holes up top?
Theoretically it makes more sense to have a height difference, check my sig.
But after doing that write-up I keep having the thought that it doesn't actually make much of a difference. Mathematically, I can show a benefit to air flow resulting from a greater height difference, but whether or not it actually improves yield is hard to say as there as so many factors involved in getting a good grow.
My tubs have holes up top, I do one hole in all 4 sides at sub level and two holes at top in each long side
Oh i see.. Yea that looks like it makes an interesting airflow pattern, I might draw that out and add it to my analysis.

I've never been able to get detailed pics of LC with a camera phone...oh well, this is a week old 1500ml malt LC, Constantly stirred since inoculation (10ml of lc) at what appears to be about 80 rpm, block out the sun thick with mycelium. My home made magnetic stirrer, the one I was ridiculed for, is perfect to sit half gallon jars on top of, guess I was using it wrong.
The plan is to use about 1500ml of LC to start part two process I've been working on. No syringes, the whole LC goes in. I'll try a whole quart of slurry on another as well. I can't start part two until I acquire a tile saw and finish that part of the project. I'm excited!

Careful. I just finished tossing a mini mono, 4 pint pp5 containers and 4 pint mason jars all done with an LC that turned out to be contaminated with verticillium even though it grew out nicely and I nocc'd in SAB with a clean agar wedge. Best laid plans are at best risky with an LC, under most of our conditions they are even a bit risky if you go from agar. Just don't put too much time into projects using only that LC and you'll be fine playing around with it.
