Syringe to Agar = Trich!

Well, after the first syringe of two I bought from a sponsor contaminated 6/10 jars and the second syringe contaminated 5/5 jars (all with trich and one with cobweb) I decided to whip up some agar plates. I made a total of 6 agar plates to start with. Shook the syringe and flame sterilized between each plate, cooled the syringe in the SAB, and then placed one drop per plate.
A week later every plate grew nothing except this one! At least I succeeded in germinating SOMETHING. Standard LME formula. Maybe I'm not giving it long enough for the other plates, but damn. It's kinda discouraging.
Either way, I threw out the rest of that particular syringe. I just knocked up another 5 BRF jars from a GT syringe from another sponsor. We'll see how that one goes!
It's hard to see because of my camera but it's a nice deep forest green. Too bad growing trich isn't my goal. I bet I could get a nice little colony going.
I poured a bit too much agar in the wrong type of jar as well, haha. Waiting on my 8oz jars still.
Any recommendations? Should I attempt to isolate and create a trich monoculture?

I've already got about 8 cakes fruiting from my very first batch. None of those contaminated, though two didn't grow anything. I'm planning on cloning and taking some prints from that batch! This was a mazatapec strain I was going to try to save, but alas, no germination.

How are spore prints better? Is it because you can make more syringes?

No you go straight from print to agar with an inoculation loop.

If you get some mushies from your cakes you can try some cloning..
Just take a little piece of tissue from inside the stem & put it on agar.
Transfer once or twice then inoculate grain.
You can keep transferring to isolate it too if you want.
