Do you have a Continual Reading list?
    #2145721 - 11/30/03 03:40 AM (13 years, 14 days ago)

I'm not sure about you guys, but to me, there is two main types of reading I do.

One is when I choose a book that I read once or twice, abosrb what I can, and move on.

The other , however - is where I continually re-read certain passages from the book, and also pick the book up often, and let it soak on a regular basis into my mind.

Here is my continual reading list:

Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu
Book of Enoch by Enoch himself
Gospel of Peace (Essene Text about Jesus Christ)
Book of Knowledge: Keys of Enoch
Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle
Book of Secrets by Osho

Thats it for me, what about you guys

I have a Continual Listening list with which I continualy re-listen to songs in order to catch a new understanding of the message being conveyed...It's interesting to me how music somehow conveys thru emotions primarily, leaving the message still open for interpretation...and open...and open...and open

The one book that I've keep coming back to all these years, and has never failed me when I seek truthful, relevant knowledge is the "phone book", its really helped me through alot of desperate times, like when Ive been reeallly hungry at 4 a.m. and needed a pizza within 30 minutes.

"The Elegant Universe" - Brian Greene
The entire "Wheel Of Time" series - Robert Jordan (yes I re-read all 10 books once a year!)
"The Lord of the Rings" - J.R.R. Tolkien

I don't really have a continual reading list. Books I more or less regularly read again are:

- Bible
- "The doors of perception", A. Huxley

I don't really own a lot of books, most of my reading I do on the internet, mainly because it allows me to read stuff without impairing my already crippled economic situation.

"The Elegant Universe" - Brian Greene

How is that? Just saw the tv-show and found it somewhat superficial (even for a popular science show) and repetitous, but quite interesting anyway.

The TV show was OK...but it seemed a little dumbed-down for the masses :smirk:

The book is amazing. The first half is basically a crash-course in quantum physics and some of its more "strange" implications. The second half really gets going with strings, and the end is a pretty cool venture into the edges of theory (my favorite playground!).

Whatever I read that is nonfictional will stay with my brain forever, or, at least, the important parts will. I will re-read fictional schitt over and over again. But hey, that's okay! Think of the money I save on buying new books!

"Dune" by Frank Herbert. Sci Fi
I first read it before I had ever done anything really mind altering and I loved it but now I kind of have a different point of view on things and in the past year this book has taken on a second meaning. During the book the main charecter goes through some stuff that is described like he's going through an incredibly intense mushroom trip minus the visuals. The author describes it so well that I woder if he's a senior tripper.
Yeah, Frank!

Supermarket, since I am unfamiliar with any of the books you listed, and am always looking for titles to add to my 'to read' list, could you give me a basic overview of what each is about? Especially the ones about or by Enoch, since he is obviously one of your favorites.

All info is greatly appreciated.
