Moving from TX back to New England. What should I see and avoid?
    #21455874 - 03/25/15 02:30 PM (9 years, 1 month ago)

I am moving back to New England in about 10 days. I can't wait.
What are some places to see on the way? I'm driving back using the quickest route but wouldn't mind diverging to take in the sites.

What places would you guys n gals recommend? What places should be absolutely avoided and why?

I stopped at natural bridge park and caverns last year in Virginia. It was beautiful although I'm not sure it is on your way. Stay away from Ohio

Yea, the caves in Virginia are gorgeous.

Definitely worth driving through the Blue Ridge Parkway as well. Probably the most scenic drive in eastern US.

I have been through West Virginia, it was beautiful but I only stopped in a few places.

Any more ideas? The route I am taking would send me through Virginia. I'm also avoiding NYC because fuck that place...

Make sure you steer clear of CT.  It'd be a shame to make it all the way from TX to have your car get taken out by a giant pot hole.
