This is my first time hunting ovoids. I was very excited to have made a find my first try. Took me a couple of hours wandering around Portland.

. I had spotted that patch last Monday and ate these two outa there. I left the patch alone so others could look at them too. A few days later two other member's mentioned they had spotted a flush as well. Anyway this spot is very well known; so try to keep from showing more people, and try not to take everything. It's nice to be able to munch on a couple and stroll around town. No need to take everything. Oh well if you don't agree, but if we'd taken everything, then others would not have had a "find". Also let's try to act normal don't make it obvious as to what we are doing. This isn't directed to anyone in particular. I'm just trying to keep the patch from getting fucked up.

In my experience when a patch is known about, it's only a matter of time before it's gone. Make as much cardboard spawn from bits of stem, individual colonized chips or grass, and spread the variety around. Seems like a very adaptable species. Just keep it away from the coastal dune grass communities please.

Yea I only repeat that because if others hadn't in the past then I wouldn't have understood the reasoning, or even thought about being careful. The first couple years it seems like ya gotta pick every little thing you find. I've tried a lot to spread genetics to no success. So I gotta ask people to be respectful.
Also I bet ovoids would do great in the dunes!!! I hadn't thought of that. If we keep putting them in the headwaters like a few of us have been maybe they will make it down to the coast??

No! That's where they could compete with the more potent and desireable azures and cyans.
