Storing stone jars
    #21439506 - 03/21/15 01:20 PM (9 years, 1 month ago)

I have a few dozen stone jars and want to toss them in the basement for a few months. I want them to be not in plain view.
I figure I can use cardboard boxes or trash bags with some holes for gas exchange. I like the trash bag idea more.
I've never grown them before, I assume they would do fine in those containers, or anything that wasn't totally air tight. Maybe obvious to someone with experience. I haven't seen it around the boards.

Can I use a trash bag with some ge holes to store stone jars?

But if you're in a hurry, and really got to go
If you're in a hurry, might have to find out slow
That it's one thing to try and another to fly
You get there quicker just a step at a time
It's one thing to bark, another to bite
The show ain't over till you pack up at night

Yes.  You could use a plastic storage tote modified with holes in it too.

Or a tote with no holes. The imperfect lid is more than enough for GE and is how I store all my grain jars, colonizing LC, colonizing agar plates, etc. Keeps the sporeload off the filter too
