Fail proof method to get started

SO Ive been around for a while, have read a while and am pretty familiar with a lot of techniques. My question is what would be the best way for someone to get started?
my original thought was make a liquid culture for faster colonization --then I started hearing about the high failure rate of LC's and this made me think to go g2g
so that is where I'm at now, but I do have a high contamination rate when using wild bird seed
so this makes me think of using agar, which seems fairly easy. I don't know why beginners are not using agar
any advice would be greatly appreciated thanx

Lots of ways to skin this cat.
Cakes are easy to start with, and most people will likely recommend you go that route. It's not a bad way to go and you have the following options you can utilize from BRF cakes.
1) Fruit as a cake 2) Crumble to bulk (not a huge fan, but that's me) 3) Slurry a cake and expand that to grain for bulk grows. 4) Crumble a dry cake to a grain jar and expand from there.
All that said, all of the above methods will have pros/cons. If you want to ensure a clean culture, the best way is certainly to start with agar. From there you have tons of other options.
Really just comes down to personal preference, but the spawn/substrate you chose is really only one part of the whole process of growing. Any method you choose will be a learning experience.

A lot of people will sway you away from the standard PF Tek, but let me give you this point of advice.
6 simple 1/2pint jars will fruit a multitude of fruits which can be printed and created into additional syringes.
I've seen posts here where people do the entire process for less then $50.
PF Tek using the RR video's will get you a "starter" set of spore prints & syringes where you can then try to use any of the other methods you've read about. Plus, you'll have little growth to tide your urge to trip while you find a way to produce a bulk amount.

I'm talking about the best way, I want to go with grains in jars or bags. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I want to not have such a high rate of contamination (wbs/popcorn)
what other options are there after going with agar? It seems there is only 1 that works best?

Best way IMO:
Agar -> Master Grain Jar -> G2G Jars -> Spawn to Monotub 1:1 ratio - Colonize -> Fruit -> Happy

High contamination rates would tend to point to your sterile techniques. Regardless of the method you decide on, your still going to have contamination issues if your sterile tek is insufficient or lacking.

I believe this is a misnomer, I think there is something about the wild bird seed that makes a really susceptible. My sterile tek is good, Perhaps it was my lids. polyfil lids, injecting through that. maybe it left a hole

Just something to ponder is all. You can try a different flavor of grain and see if your luck improves. Oat and Rye are quite popular and there's lots of great info that you can leverage.

All those being factors of the sterile tek of fungi cultivation. So yeah,

havent grown anything in a while. I'd like to get started on a new grow and have people chime in with the most recent developments/ knowledge. In the past I had high rates of contamination using WBS, and with pop corn also. Was hoping someone had similar experience, knew what I was talking about, and had a remedy for it.
Its obvious that i've been here for a while, Its nice to get responses to my questions instead of a UTFSE response, as if i've never been to the forum. There is a ton of information, a lot of variables, and what not. I, However, am trying to be consistent, and concise. What I'm looking for could fit on a notecard, I'm not looking for a run around, or a wild goose chase. Don't want to be getting information from people using old outdated techniques that cause failure and huge wastes of time (polyfill lids could be one of them)
what is going on with you? Or the group that uses your account might I say? 684 posts and you've been here less than a year

A group on my account? Son, You've asked the same questions at least three to four dozen times over the last 10 years.
One of a few things is happening: 1) "You" are multiple people 2) You have a terrible memory 3) You have no search skills 4) You are an imbecile 5) You don't believe the answers you've already been given dozens of times over the last 10+ years so you ask again.
No matter the answer, I'm done here.

maybe one day you will be moderator
why don't you chime in with some quality information and answer some of my questions fully.
How would you make lids? There are many techniques, and many of those techniques likely have problems with them you will find upon thorough examination.
After you have experience, you may go over things again, and come to new conclusions

I agree.
Hopefully, in 10 years I won't be asking the same questions over and over again.
As you stated, I hope my experience will allow me to come to my new conclusions.
I guess we'll see in another 9 years...
