Looks like a Coprinus to me, maybe Coprinus micaceus, is there
a tree stump near by? As i oftern see these growing of dead tree
roots.

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

the spore print was black-ish, very dark, and the gills underneath were similar..
good to eat as in make u trip good to eat or just a mushroom that you _can_ eat?

they will never follow the rules gumby :wink:.

anyway, to verify taht they are C. micaceus, look closely at the caps, especialy those of the younger ones. do you see coarse to fin mica like granules on the surface? check several of them if you do not see any at first.

if there are, these are a descent edible, but you should only eat those wich have not yet sporulated.
