Judging by the number of azure posts versus cyan posts, I'm assuming that azures are a lot more common?

If this is true, then is it because azures occur in more natural settings than cyans, which from my understand occur only in man-disturbed areas such as gardens?

Those dont look like any Azures that i have found. The color is off and they just look different. I could be wrong. Did you make any prints?

Dont worry folks. They're 100% real. Thanks for caring though. I've been hunting at this particular site for about 6 years now. One thing you need to keep in mind is that shroom shapes, sizes and colors of a given species can be effected by age, weather conditions and other variables. As long as you are not a novice and the true identifing characterists are present (blueing, purple/black spore print, gills, translucent pelicule, proper habitat, etc) you are safe. Here's a few more pictures. I'll post more in a day or two. Enjoy!

Nice find!!! Those are some phaties! When azures get larger they will get darker. Last weekend me and a friend found a patch of azures and I left this huge one behind, my friend picked it and I was convinced it was something else. He soon proved me wrong. It looked just like the one you are holding in your hand.
