I tried a few different types of the marinade syringes... they all sucked ...every one of them leaked. None of the 4 I tried were any good for what we do. I only tried four but that was enough for me lol

They generate less waste. As long as you don't kick them around like soccer balls. Plastic syringes need to be replaced over time.

I wonder why laboratories and industry moved away from glass syringes even though they have the money to buy anything they need. when lab grade dextrose for 20x more than non lab grade dextrose is what you buy because your a lab you would think glass syringes are also what would be used if every scientist and lab tech though they were superior. since labs get good budgets. just saying I've never seen glass syringes used because most people who do work with syringes be it mycology or biotechnical anything find them to be inferior.

Well I haven't had to toss out any plastic syringes yet but I haven't really used them much either. I've actually found a new use for them recently so that might change.

I don't follow the herd. For the small home mushroom cultivator. Glass syringes will suit most needs. Milage may vary.

I like those 60CC syringes (25 pack). Not glass but each one comes with a nice autoclavable container.
Please don't tell me you guys prefer to boil them instead of autoclaving them. I'm not interested. I'd still like to have autoclavable syringes.

I don't follow the herd, I follow what fucking works well. and you can autoclave a plastic syringe I just wrap them in foil. I've had the same 3 plastic syringes for what will be 2 years in april. and they've been autoclaved(we use a PC I doubt any of us have autoclaves at home) at least 20 times.

You can autoclave normal syringes? Really ? I do have an AA 75X and i just don't want to have melting plastic at the bottom :S.
I wouldn't trust autoclaving plastic syringes unless the box were they came from say they're autoclavable. Still... i would like to have those syringes containers.

yes they're made of PP and metal and rubber all of which can withstand numerous auto claving cycles.
I've also seen polycarbonate syringes which are just as happy being autoclaved as well
I'm not sure if nylon syringes can be autoclaved but I would be willing to bet they could be.

also you have a AA75X? those are fucking expensive as hell have you even grown mushrooms yet?

b/c im in college. im broke so i buy 100 plastic syringes with needles that are pre sterilized for 20 - 30 bucks.
i have a weird fetish for glass though. I would buy them if i could afford them for my own reasons.

The only reason I would want a glass syringe is because they use em in movies to make things look more dramatic and cool, that's the only reason we even know that they ever existed is from movies. when have you ever seen one elsewhere.

makes sense. If I had cash and lived in my old place I would probably do the same thing.
it's just funny cause I know a few real labs that sprung for used AA sterilizers even with more than enough money for a new one.

RR uses one in the Spore Handling section of his instructional DVD's. Are some kind of buzzman for a corporate plastic syringe company or something? It's all a matter of personal reference, and unique cultivators situation.

look who's sucking RRs dick now
no, I'm just saying anyone who thinks they need one in the hopes up upping their gain or getting better is stupid. if you want one cus you want one great. but it's nothing that's going to help you out.
a lot of people seem to think a flow hood, a AA sterilizer, a glass syringe, etc... will make you better, but really it won't only you make you better you can still suck with any tool you buy.

All of those products are superior cultivation tools. You can be, and do great with any tool you buy also. Different strokes for different folks. Mileage will vary.
