Schedules
    #21398535 - 03/12/15 04:22 PM (9 years, 2 months ago)

I'm thinking about using a schedule to manage my days in an attempt to get more shit done and keep my mind busy.
I already have a small schedule for misting my mushrooms, but I want to add more to that list.
I have a lot of free time on my hands and spend a lot of it at home (I'm a hermit), what do a lot of you do to occupy your mind and kill the time?

I also work from home, and I would personally never get anything done w/o lists!

I either write shit down on an actual piece of paper, or type into the "tasks" section of my google calendar. Written down stuff is more immediately, the stuff I type into google tasks is just to keep in mind. If I need an additional reminder I will add things to my calendar as well. If I don't obsessively chronicle my ideas like this, I just simply forget shit.

Hope this helps!

If you have any other questions, just ask!

I also write down a list for to-do's and school work on a note pad which i keep on my desk. As I accomplish tasks i cross them out with a marker...

When I am really organized I will sit down and try and schedule my week with regards to homework/workout's ahead of time, but I find it hard to keep up. I am battling burn out right now and that means my level of organization has declined.

Additionally I have Apple Calendar which I schedule my midterms/finals, additional school activities, appointments, etc and it works really well for long term planning. It also reminds me the day before (or whenever i want, actually.)

I am gradually moving towards a busier lifestyle and want to get more proactive about scheduling, although I never want to stick to much of a schedule either, I like to have some flexibility. That said, I am without a doubt less efficient with my time than I could be.

To respond to the OP - it is good to schedule time for a hobby, and something i should do myself!

Sometimes I write stuff down on my list after the fact JUST for the satisfaction of crossing it off!

Thanks for the replies!
I too enjoy crossing things off a list, there's just something about it that gives me joy.
I found my computer comes with a notepad that links with my phone, so I can write it down on my laptop and read it on my phone later when I'm somewhere that isn't my computer.
Now I just need to schedule something  :smile2:
