Then build a fruiting chamber for it.

If open air, probably not enough humidity. That's what fruiting chambers are all about.

lol what? you dont need to consolidate bulk subs. you want high rh at sub surface for primordia formation tho so you need to mist that more often. it looks very dry.

Make a SGFC, your humidity indoors can't possibly be high enough unless you live in an open air jungle hut in the Amazon during the rainy season.

I mist very frequently. Will I definitely get pins? If my humidity is too low will I never get pins or just small pins? What happens if it gets to dry

Just cover the tray with seran wrap and poke a bunch of holes in it... That will raise ur humidity and slow down evaporation.

Misting adds wetness to the substrate, not humidity to the air. Dry air and a soaked sub will only get you contams. You need high ambient humidity, hence why EVERYONE uses a greenhouse or SGFC. Trust me, you can water till you drown your subs and kill the mycelium with over-saturation, pins won't form until the organism senses the right humidity in the air.

If you really increase the misting. Ive seen some nice open air grows on here.
It might be a little matted though since it got so dry , the surface can get a little rubbery when that happens.
You could try cutting a strip of bubble wrap to set on the surface to get a nice micro climate whem you arent misting
Any reason you dont wamna put it in an FC?

No man youll be fine if you increase misting! I was mostly just telling you why it looks that way.
8 days isnt too long to wait for pins.
Are you placing it like in a bag at night or something since you arent up to mist? Or maybe try the bubble wrap at night
