Too much moisture? Too little FAE?
1) Spawn to Horse Poo bulk on March 1st 2015

2) Spawn to Horse Poo bulk on March 1st 2015

3) Spawn to Horse Poo bulk on March 3rd 2015

It is left in indirect sunlight.
Micropore (paper) tape for holes.
I was thinking of tearing out the micropore tapes at the side of each containers for increased FAE. Is it recommended that I do that?
I live in a tropical environment. Constant humidity of 80% and above. Right now there is a bit of a rain shortage but it will end soon.
I have a oscillating fan set on LOW and about 8 feet away from them.
Lighting is bad because my phone's camera is complete shit. Iphone 3G. The green you might see isn't actually there.
There is no sour/sweet/wine smell.

There is supposed to be high Co2 in there until the bulk substrate is fully colonized. Regular tape should be used to cover the holes and the monos do not look built to spec. I have a feeling you will have trouble getting enough FAE with those holes during the fruiting phase.

'Where do you want to go?' was his response 'I don't know', Alice answered. 'Then', said the cat, 'it doesn't matter.'"

I'm with saitburger, your tub is a little different from convention. Normally you have one large hole right above substrate level and one on near the top on all four sides. Until you reach desired colonization you need to limit FAE. i.e. I keep my whole setup inside of a trash bag until I want to fruit. The whole point of the holes is for fruiting, and it is my understanding that they are set up this way to create a convection of sorts. As CO2 builds up it sluffs out the holes, pulling fresh O2 in the top. Also, light is unnecessary until fruiting (O2 and Light induce fruiting).

keep them like u have them till they are all done colonizing. it looks fine to me. Hpoo and straw have a different kind of look than coir tubs. in that first tub, looks like u didn't mix it well. its only colonizing from the top down.
i use regular mono hole set up, but use MP tape on top holes during spawn run. barely lets shit thru (as u can see in ur picture, there is almost no evaporation happening around ur MP tape holes). i would just keep the tape u have but turn off the fan until fruiting.

Is it just me or does the second one almost seem to have a greenish hue to it?
-------------------- The mushroom speaks: '"I am old, older than thought in your species, which is itself fifty times older than your history. Though I have been on earth for ages I am from the stars. My home is no one planet, for many worlds scattered through the shining disc of the galaxy have conditions which allow my spores an opportunity for life... How the hypercommunication mode operates is a secret which will not be lightly given to man. But the means should be obvious: it is the occurrence of psilocybin and psilocin in the biosynthetic pathways of my living body that opens for me and my symbiots the vision screens to many worlds"

There's no green-ish it's just the camera. My phone's model is Iphone 3G...Not really a tech guy so...
Alright, so I know this question gets asked a lot but when do I fruit and how is the procedure like?

Why is that one sub colonizing from the top down? Did you layer your sub/spawn?

I read that I was supposed to spread colonized grains out evenly on the surface and cover with a tiny layer of substrate.
Could someone respond with the fruiting procedure? Is everything fine? Do I leave the tub as it is? I know I need FAE but it seems like there's plenty of FAE (top side has lots of holes).

next time, dump ur poo and grains in together, and mix it all up evenly, all the way to bottom of container. u can leave a little poo aside and use as top layer.
when u see the entire substrate is white with mycelium, thats when u want to start giving it FAE. in ur case, since the hole design is not standard, u will need to play around with how many holes to stuff or leave open. the hole size u used looks relatively small to me, so u can probably take the tape off most of them, if not all of them. fan and mist as needed.

You are a life saver. I will keep that in mind. Thank you very much.
