Lab professionals know that even the most sterile procedures in making a culture will eventually create bacteria. If a culture starts producing primordia the primordia produce bacteria, its just science. Well where does the bacteria come from?? It is created. I love this quote from that site. Says culture repeatedly. Which is hella illegal in most parts of the world. Then later goes on to say. . .

Now based on other lab-work that I've done and charged for, I could reasonably price a "New Moon" spore syringe for as much as $75. Not for the spores (because the spores are abundant) but for the solution itself and the ingredients.
Oh really? All them ingredients are too keep the bacteria produced by the culture at bay, so the spore syringes don't become bacterial

BTW liquid you should remove the link to the vendor, such things are not to be posted in mush cult.

I said that in his thread. It could be mixed with crushed activated charcoal to make it look darker.hence why they don't want you checking it out under the microscope.

Makes sense. Said it starting growing on agar in 18 hours.

Spores from syringes have germinated faster for me than from a print, 18 hrs is pretty quick.

Wait did that site just suggest spontaneous generation is science? Hi, yes, vendor, there's a doctor Pasteur on line 2 for you, he says your fecal test has come back bovine.

Ive been reading so many links my eyes are burning. Ill make a thread when the time comes. I like to try things myself before I start making cult threads. Long story short, 100% contam rate on my first 7 plates I did (syringe innoc). Waiting on my next 12 plates (spore print) innoced 5 days ago. 6 MEA and 6 PDA.
Ill make a thread soon. I feel like its gonna have to happen. 5 for offering to help.

It kinda irks me that unscrupulous folks are selling live myc. ( NONE OF THE SPONSERS HERE DO !!!!!...They could very well bring the end of things as we know them....we are lucky to have the freedom we have . And it is the folks Sho try to skirt the laws that will in the end be the problem.

With a syringe that dense with spores, it would take a fraction of a cc to inoculate a petri.
Thank god someone else understands too! I have only made hundreds of syringes.
even with a fraction of a cc. like taking a drop to an inoculation loop and then taking that loop and touching agar with a syringe as dense as the one in the first post you would have hundreds of thousands of spores in less than a drop. the germination on a petri dish would look pretty gnarly and it would be hard to see any mold which is one of the great advantages of agar work, being able to see contamination.
I would dilute that syringe if I were to try agar work with personally.
will it work on a cake or on agar, you bet. but you really don't want this many spores on a petri dish ever.

having a few gillion germination events on a dish isn't what you're looking for.

mushymonster said: I think from now on im going to use syringe directly to Agar. I think you would def benefit from that. There are so many fucking spores in that bitch you are going to have about 200 million sub-strains lol.
That is a great idea Mushy. I actually did a few agar transfers during the making of the syringes in the OP. Their are many reasons why I have shifted to making darker spore syringes over the years. For one, a highly concentrated syringe can be used to make several dozen syringes as needed or just one at a time depended on the demands of the grow. Also, syringes last longer than prints.
Many people will toss some bs around but they lack any experience and often repeat what they read. I hope you get some agar started soon. Agar will serve you well.
