Dosing advice for Anti-depression trip?

I have decided to trip again after several years to fight and hopefully; beat my depression. And I am currently deciding on a dose and I'm here for some last advice before I begin. Doses should be in Cubensis.
Worth noting is that I have HPPD; which is a bit what complicates things. But after searching around the internet I have found several sources that the HPPD can (And probably will) get worse after the trip but will eventually in a couple days to weeks settle down to how it was pre-trip. Since I have HPPD that also obviously means that I have previous experiences with psychedelics, but none of them have been a 'heroic' dose.
A lower dose would of course be safer for my HPPD but I don't know how much 'worse' a higher dose would be. The thing also though is that I already have experienced these doses several times before, and I'm afraid that it would be an absolute waste against my depression. Also several experienced psychonauts like Terence Mckenna recommended for spiritual purpose that you take a HIGH dose in silent darkness if you want anything out of it.
Worth noting is that this is NOT for a recreational trip. The primary purpose of this trip is to cure a very nasty depression. The trip will also be alone no matter what dose.
P.S: Also any experiences of how the HPPD is affected post-trip would also be welcome.

Imo dosage doesn't matter. It's your willingness to change that's important. Tripping alone in nature, or in a dark room can be equally therapeutic, regardless of dosage.
I suggest tripping once every two weeks with low-moderate dosages for two months. That way, you can learn more about yourself during the trips but also you have time to integrate and absorb the experience before the next trip. Mushrooms will not help you if you do not put in any effort to make a change.
You can also determine if you'd like to increase the dosage, rather than getting into the deep end of psychedelia and potentially make it worse.
I also highly advise taking up a spiritual practice, like yoga or meditation. Mindfulness meditation can give you the same clarity and awareness you get from a good mushroom trip, but for life.

Also if you have access to Psilocybe Semilanceata or Psilocybe Mexicana, I would take those instead of the cubes. In my experience, they have been consistently therapeutic for the soul, whereas the cubes are a bit more unpredictable.
According to the Mazatecs, different mushrooms had different purposes associated with them. Mexicana was held in the highest esteem, used for healing, whereas the cubes were used by architects and labourers to envision what they'll create.

That is some sound advice from Jimmy Sage. It is almost exactly what I would have said.

If you have HPPD you should rather go for mescaline instead.
