niice.
Got some RW and PF classic spores in the mail today too. It’s like the myco gods are pushing me deeper in to doing this.
Wanted to get them on to agar today...but that just isn’t realistic.
I need to set up an area where I can use the hood and do agar work and not have to move the hood again.
I’m thinking about ordering a 40’ container tomorrow that I’ll use for storage, clean room, incubation room for bags, spawn room, and fruiting room

Which one did you go with? I'm hurting my head deciding which filter/blower to go with and really thinking about biting the bullet on one of these.

Just the simple valueline 2x4
I’m going to build/buy something bigger when I scale up but this smaller space will be good for doing plates and grain to grain.
I want a HEPA wall basically to do work with bags so I want to order 2 36x48 99.97 filters and make a 3x8' flow hood, I have a spare 12" centrifugal fan from a grow I took apart 10 years ago that I've been waiting to repurpose. I think this will be a good use for it.

I almost bought one of theose ETSY hoods. I am still conversing with the builder. They look really well made. Biggest one he was building when we spoke was a 36" but given time he could have figured out anything.
I am happy with my actual "HOOD" vs the Laminar Flow Wall/Table designs that many mycologists use. For me, the mobility of the fully enclosed hood seemed like the best move... and I only paid $1495 for a "scratch and dent" $3000 hood.

Where did you find a scratch and dent hood?
The Etsy hoods look well made for sure. If I go that route I'm going to just buy the FP 24x36 filter and Dayton 1TDU2 blower and build it myself. I like the idea of having an actual metal hood more tho.

My hood looks like an outdated behemoth dinosaur compared to those sleek FFU's you're seeing everywhere now. They take up so little work space.

Go with cougar in etsy. He makes the most quality flow hoods I've ever seen.

I just got 2 3x4 from Myers for 1400 but won't see them for 2 months.
Happy to have got the Terra Universal hood in 2 days so I can do cool stuff with agar now and set up a serious spawning area with the 3x4 units mounted vertically whenever they show up so I have a 6'w x4'h HEPA wall to work in front of.
I figured If I like his videos so much and im learning stuff from the guy I should support him.

I also got this impulse sealer today after I grabbed the FFU from Myers because I really like the idea of mounting this thing over head and sealing bags that way.
I also like the 5mm wide seal.

I just need to get a second hand dryer that I can gut and use as a bag tumbler and figure out what I'm going to do for substrate sterilization at scale and I wonder if its even necessary if I just grow on coir/vermiculite since I did some hot water coir and it worked just fine...
I have 3 phase 480v power at my ranch so heating elements and boilers and stuff aren't an issue to implement I just need to figure out what the best path to a bulk steamer is.
if anyone has any suggestions about this that would be awesome!!

U bought 2 3x4's for spawning?
You dont need to sterilize the coir/verm.
