Yeah it's just to look pretty. OCD. Plus I can punch 4-5 holes to make using scalpel easier faster to make multiple transfers.
Downside it could cross contaminate if misjudging cleanness and sterile technique is flawed.

I have OCD, this just makes my heart happy. Itβs actually faster to do xfers with a punch believe it or not. Especially if youβre taking lots from a plate.

the punch is a cool idea but if I have a plate I'm confident is clean I tic toc toe the fucker with a scalpel and drop shitloads of wedges.

Can you stack multiple wedges in those punches?
Like if I want to take three transfers from one plate could you poke it three times and have them stack up in the tube?
Like an agar pez dispenser.

Bought 8 32qt tubs for...... $4! There was a price error of $9 for 4 and I had $15 in credits. I already have 5 66qt monotubs and 12 6qt shoeboxes. I think I'm done buying tubs lol

Tried a few different containers for agar pours. Other bottles/jars/500ml gl45 bottles.
These are hands down my favorite. Just poke a hole in the top and cut a piece of add to fit the lid.

Nice slimline. I wanted to grab some of those to try but I'm a cheap bastard. I just replaced my cheap cadamada ones with Pyrex. The 500ml cadamada work great I've used them a shitload. The 250ml cadamada vessels blow. I put one in the freezer. It shattered into pieces. The other one one the neck cracked on the 2nd PC cycle.

If you don't want the 100ml let me know maybe we can work out a trade for it or buy it off you or something. I use 60mm petris can probably pour a entire sleeve with 100ml lmao.

Could maybe get a half dozen plates with a full 100ml if you poured thin I think. Idk what Id do with a 100ml bottle. Maybe a fancy LC container? LI storage? Id probably pop a SHIP in the top and use it for a sterile water bottle.
New tools wise, I got my infrared thermometer gun the other day. Pretty nifty.

This one has adjustable emissivity, so it should be able to work on pretty much anything with the right setting. It came with a little setting sheet for all kind of different surfaces.
