I followed a lot of myers mushrooms setup and then dialed it in for
my area of south tejas.

I've posted these around but here are some of the LM and shiitake I've done

My temps were pretty high though being summer in south tejas and my improvised
swamp cooler was only able to keep it in the high 70s or so. Could have been much better.

Maybe not a direct tool of the trade... But it definitely helps me get myco work done. Love these rubber/silicone aperatuses, lol.

WHAT WHOA! I've never seen a silicone one. How do you like it? That looks great for cleaning purposes, but the texture could be a little ... strange. But cleaning ... ARGH. Tellm me more Bigsur

It works great! And is a breeze to clean. The bowl is a glass insert you can pop right out. Got it at a local shop for 10$. Hits like a champ too!

Not a tool of the trade but if your  concerned about making too much noise with the neighbors, or are like me trying not to wake up your significant other and get stabbed in the middle of the night while running the PC.
I present three old jar lids (probably should use 4), aluminum foil and a towel!
Start by putting the same sides together, top to top, bottom to bottom

Next get a good size piece of aluminum foil and carefully wrap together(inside and out) so it can stand up firm and straight, you don't want it limp :wellhello:
NEXT!
Place on PC

You'll have about a 1/4 or more of room from the top of the weight to the top of the jar lids(this is with 3 lids, I'd advise 4 as to make sure nothing is resting on your rocker.)

I use this folded towel 1. I know it won't sink onto my rocker and add weight. 2. to help damper the sounds and 3. To keep the whole thing in place while pc'ing.

Its nice too you can just take it off toss it in the air a couple times and it's back to a cool temp, or toss it in the air once and have a nice warm towel to lay over sore muscles.
Have a nice day everyone

I’m going to use it tomorrow. Does anyone know how much longer I need to PC this for agar compared to the normal 20-25 minutes with the 500ml?

Got a screen kit from the depot of your home. Realized after the excitement putting it together, I didnt have anywhere big enough for it. I should of made it smaller but, oh well, can always cut it back later. Propped up on 1qt masons.

well, I unpulled the trigger.  Don't know if its 100% accurate info, but there are a lot of post about how 12inch deep filters don't provide enough resistance to maintain laminar flow.  Couldn't find anything outside of shroomery to confirm that.  Too bad, because that's a pretty good price on the filter.
