You really need to know it's tested efficiency. There's HEPA filters that are nowhere near efficient enough for myco work. I recommend 99.99% at 1500-2000 CFM.

It's HEPA 14, 2" x 4" new, apparently has a recirculation mode but can also just blow and the guy who is selling it doesn't know much about it but says a flame held next to the filter stays nice and calm everywhere. He has already sold others to mushroom growers but IDK if i can trust him. It came from a microelectronics place.. I just need to know that it is suitable. Supposedly it costed 1000€ / 1150$
I have no product info unfortunately. It seems good to me.
I hope it's cool to ask here.
They are ok...I use similar ones when making sawdust blocks.

Ok cool thanks - by the way I am buying one then for under 300$. So yeah sweet deal. I was gonna DIY otherwise.
I am probably not gonna get better specs than HEPA 14 (which is a standard for efficiency at 0.3 micron particles isn't it?). But like I said it's used for microelectronics and mycology. I guess in this are it gets unclear how to make sure... not even sure if specs on the device itself would help me as you may still put different kinds of filters in it?? I'm assuming this is an original filter for the device tho.
Was just a bit concerned about replacing the filter, the costs for that etc. It's a little hard to believe that there is absolutely no identifying marks on the enclosure.

I have something very similar, astrocel II something or other. Plug and go, has a prefilter and everything. I paid $550 with shipping (US) for my unit. It is amazing and saved my skill less ass a lot of time and frustration and borrowing tools.

You do realize it is a complete machine and not just a filter component?

Yep, I have 2 24x24 side by side. They were $200 a piece complete with filter, housing, and blowers.

Yep! 2!
They are HEPA Modules similar to what Solipsis is talking about just 24x24 versions...I got them used from a pharmaceutical company off the internet.

The one I posted isn't used (supposedly). I don't have experience yet with flowhoods, idk what the experience of the height is like, for filling bags.. but i guess there is a way around that.

yeah I think mine was only $200.
I think I'm in the same general area as you... was it local?
I built mine for real close to $300, but its 2x2... And I'm kind of regretting it for g2g, and supplemented bags. I'd consider a 2x4 in the near future.

It was in the states, but not local to me tho.
I really haven't had any issues and I did a smoke and agar test with it when I got it and everything checked out.

how does it work better? I have a 2x2 and I really like the extra mobility of sliding my stuff out of the way without going around a plexi wall.
Plus, My torch faces what would be the plexi glass, so it doesn't take up any space but sits right on the edge of my clean air.
