I forgot that I had a dishwasher. Perfect for a few days worth of jars.

This makes me so damn happy.

2 of my favorite things. Clean jars ready for grain and a dishwasher packed edge to edge!

I got friendly with the owner of a HVAC company in a bar last week. Dude hooked me up with a free 1200 CFM blower!

SWEET! Just 300 bucks extra and you got your hood! Well, at least.

Have you matched it to a filter? Probably don't have info sheets?

Thing is that 1200 cfm at 0'WC becomes a whole lot less at 2-3'WC (end resistance of a random 2x2 filter) and you still do need to have enough cfm's left for your filter.

I built mine with one without a sheet too though, looked up similar fans but that's no guarantee. Judging by the power of the fan I think I'm good though. Hope you will be too!

Good luck!

Glad yours worked out! That was the hold out I had for a while was not having specs and I couldn't bring myself to throw down so much cash on a new one just for a spec sheet. Figured I'd eventually come across a used one I could have a fair amount of confidence in. Go big or go home!

I don't have any other specs on the blower but at 1200 CFM I'm gonna wing it with a 24X24 filter. The blower can run at low/med/high so I can experiment with that as well as choke it down.

FYI you can get a case of 8 of these 58QT Sterilite tubs from Wal-Mart.com for under $40 a case shipped. I think it was like $112, and change for these 3 cases.

You get 8 in a case of the 58qt Sterilite and 6 in the 64qt cases. These cases are usually cheaper than the 64qt cases as well. I have some of the 64qt latch top Sterilite and the foot print of the bottom of both the 64 and 58 qt tubs is soooo close, that IMO these 58qt tubs are the more economical tubs to buy in bulk.

Got that same size  It's a nice size if you do a lot of agar work and not too many bags. If you got a semi professional edible operation going it might be better to have double that size for bagging but for the hobby grower it's perfect.

Nice build LizardWizard! I was thinking a similar angled design with a light built in. Have a link for your filter?

A pack of 100 16 mm x 100 mm PP5 test tubes with screw caps arrived today:

I need to do something. My fridge is literally full of cultures. Most are yet untested clones from agar pins and weird mutants like non-leucistic AA+ or 100g+ fruitbodies. :nyan:

Bags turned up, heat sealed inside another bag, which is nice. I will see if they can be Micro-PC'd soon.
They feel and look much more robust than most zip lock bags I have used in the past.

I ordered 20 since I can use them for low risk substrates.

Hey if anyone has a link on a good deal for a U.S. 24X24 99.6%  or better efficiency filter I'd appreciate it. Best I've found is around $200 with shipping which is ok but details are sketchy. Please post anything in that area with high efficiency rating. Best deal that I like and goes through gets a PEU swab and a GT print from my sig. I'll post in Marketplace too. I've been at this for weeks.

I'm open to larger filters if the price is right.
