cleaning stones?

HI shroomers, yesterday i harvested a bunch of stones from my substrate and they're dirty as fuck i did maybe the 1/8 with a toothbrush.. and damn i feel like i'm loosing my time
my question is, can i wash them under water, absorbe most of the water with a towel and then put them in the dehydrator?
cause it will take me a fuckin week to clean em up with a toothbrush..

thanx

its the vermiculite stuck in the stones because you were to lazy to clean them edit- i just saw van der griegen posted that.
i thought psilocybin was water soluble so i wouldn't wash them but at the same time i dont see how a rinse could effect much.

I would take the time to clean each stone. Do them in batches... Like an oz at a time, while keeping the rest in the fridge.
Invite some buddies over to assist you. You could throw them a few gs for their efforts.

Cleaning stones just sucks. IDK any way to do it besides manually.

i never though about the solubility... thanx for bringing that but also don't think a cold water rinse would extract anything i also thought about chlorinated water from the tap could affect but it's what they grew in...
my principal worry was that it turn rancid or into goo or dunno.. just worried
i wouldn't usually mind to brush em one at the time, its just i'm in a rush somewhere else these days and dont have time to sit for hours and clean em up i can still keep them dirty in the fridge without problem?

I toss my stones as I harvest them into a cold bowl of water and swish them around to clean them off as I harvest. Drain and lay out to air dry for a couple hours then into the dehydrator. I haven't noticed any ill effect. I've also seen water turn blue during a grain dunk after shaking and the water my stones are in never gets bluish so I'm assuming it's not leaching much if anything.

Is it safe to assume that stones are much easier to clean up if grown in straight grain?

Depends on the grain. I do whole oats (with the husk), and the little fuckers like to grow into the husks after they've hollowed it out and digested the grain. It's very difficult to clean, so I just don't, because a little fiber never hurt anybody.
