Hey everyone,
I'm looking for an Oyster monotub tek. I've tried the search function but couldn't really find anything helpful. Any help would be greatly appreciated

pans tend to need more FEA then cubes. They also dont need as thick of a substrate and NEED poo with all that said i dont know any monotub teks for them.

yes they like a much more shallow sub and more air so if ya try q mono i would toss the whole set n forget out the window and go unstuffed holes misting as needed.

I just seen a guy running trays in the bottom of a modified mono. He had fruiting pics and they looked awesome. I'll see if I can find the thread and edit with the link. I wanna use that method when I do pans soon.

Not a tek, but a 66Q Pan cyan monotub. Definitely not a set and forget mono, like Cronicr mentioned - a little more upkeep is required.

Wow - thanks for the kind words guys!
I've used trays too, but the Pan cyan HI mycelium colonized so fast I figured why not try a tub

Impressive stuff man. Is there a reason people tend to use trays for Pan Cyan as opposed to a traditional monotub?

Thanks, not really sure - I know the Pan substrate depth ideally is shallower than say cubes, but you can make a tub to accommodate the difference; even though they're in a monotub, they need a little more attention when it comes to increased FAE seem to be more sensitive to excessive moisture in the tub/casing layer, but I wouldn't say it's more difficult than trays
There are some INSANE mini greenhouse Pan grows - BlueHelix comes to mind

it's a sub depth to surface area thing so with tubs you could go a little thicker then the traditional 1.5-2 inch subs most use in trays

Also, a lot of us are set up for growing in tubs, so monotubs are what we have lying around as fruiting chambers. The depth of substrate is EASY to manipulate no matter what style of fruiting container you use.
