    #2135955 - 11/25/03 09:43 PM (13 years, 1 month ago)

Just now I disovered that one of my cakes tipped and some of my shrooms broke off. Can I safely cut the cakes in half or any other suggestions will help.

just lay it on its side, seems to fruit just fine like that and there is no way for it to tip over.

best of luck.

Random idea...would you get higher yields if you cut your half pint cakes in half and then fruited them, assuming they were fully colonized, in order to increase surface area? Just a random idea...I could see it being a higher contamination risk, is this the case, anythign else?

It would be better to just let the cakes be.

Put them on the side, there is no problem with that.
