:crying:
I think the 6 that I had will not recover from the winter...
They made it to about a foot tall before winter came, and they were moved into my glassed in porch where they stayed fairly warm (warm enough to keep most of the leaves on my Kratom), but they are really looking rough. It should be warm enough next week to put them back outside, but I don't think they are really gonna make it...

One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree.
'Which road do I take?' she asked.
'Where do you want to go?' was his response.
'I don't know', Alice answered.
'Then', said the cat, 'it doesn't matter.'

They will most likely germinate. Mine are flowering right now.

Wait,you said you've been getting 40's right?
I wonder why they said below 50 would most likely kill them:shrug:
Can you get a picture of yours?
I'd love to see it:yesnod:

Ok I got 3 of my seeds planted today. I soaked them in water and kinda forgot about them for a couple days so they've been in a plastic bag on top of my fridge soaking in water for about 48 hours.

I just planted them in 3 small pots in a mixture of about 15% composted manure/ 20% perlite and 60% good potting soil.

I also took the wings off of 1 seed and I removed most of the shell and dug my fingernail into one and planted the other like it was.

I'm hoping for the best but I still have a few seeds to work with if it doesn't go well.

Does anyone have any ideas on better ways to get them started?

The first time I soaked them over night then put them on top of the pot. I didn't bury them. Then I put them in those disposable banquet trays that have a top. Keeps great humidity.

Wow! And, how old is it? If I remember, it was fairly young, wasn't it?? It sure does grow quickly

All I did for mine was soak for a day (actually, mine only soaked for about 18hrs) and placed the seeds, seed coat and little winglets and all, on the soil and lightly pressed them into the soil. There was still about 3/4 to 1/2 of the seed exposed. Had 100% germination.

I also just buried mine just enough to wear I could see a very tiny portion of the seed protruding from the soil, but not before, the soak:thumbup:
I then, just kept the soil moist for no more than two weeks, and that was it:thumbup:
I actually had forgotten about them, and they most likely sprouted much sooner, judging by the long taproot that was on one:stoned:

Yeah lots of seeds are designed this way,and I only partially buried mine.
I've found bigger seeds tend to dry up on me,if they aren't partially buried,in moist soil:cool:

My lone tree. :Awemazing:

And my little harvest.

I munch on the tree here and there but my daughter has been mad at food since forever. She is 4 and it's hard to get her to eat anything. So I think I wanna dry this out, pulverize it and mix it with chocolate powder and feed it to her with milk. It's probably the only way I can get her to consume anything healthy, with a side of sugar.

I thought I'd add an interesting pic.

I once had about a 2 1/2 to 3 ft tall moringa here until I dropped a heavy flower pot on it and broke it off. I was planning to plant another that I had grown from seed "I'm transplanting that one to a huge pot tonight" when I noticed something growing.

Here is the moringa growing back from it's roots and it's growing SUPER FAST too:grin:

Thought you guys would like that.

:EDIT: Thank you again ferrel for all your help in getting these trees growing:super:
