Healthy Cake?
    #21345972 - 02/28/15 09:02 PM (9 years, 10 months ago)

So, after my failed first attempt from last year and learning that growing shrooms out of drinking glasses is kind of a dumb idea, I got my hands on a suitable jar (yes, "a" as in "one jar") and being the anxious fella that I am I decided to give it a go anyway, for the sake of experience.

So, cake was birthed a few days ago and all I've seen growing so far are these tiny white things. Spores are B+ cubes, by the way.

Is that normal healthy primordia or am I looking at something else? Is the cake going in the right direction?

I appreciate any input!

Get some more FAE in your fruiting chamber, your cake is choking.

Well, I guess it's a little late to drill more holes in my FC... So I just fan more often, right? How often?

Take the cake out,

Dump the perlite.

Drill more holes.

Do it right this time. Don't cut corners in the final stretch.

Lo and behold! It's happening... I guess they were in need of some air after all

By the way... are those little greenish-blueish areas just bruising?

You should also trim your aluminum foil so that it doesn't stick out so much from your cake!
