Larger Gauge Needles for insert into common syringe bodies
    #7027947 - 06/09/07 09:35 PM (16 years, 9 months ago)

Sorry--I'm REALLY friggin' sick of trying to mess with LC myc blobs in solution--several species (reishi is a PAIN).  I like to use LC, as it's just easier.  But I can never mix the solution up to get a good extraction from the LC jar (even with glass in there) through a 16 gauge needle.

Just wondering--I get my syringes from a feed store, but the biggest needles they have that screw onto these syringes are 16 G.  Does anyone have a link to a supplier that has larger needle gauges that will screw into the customary PP syringe?

Just sick of this sucking the ocean through a stir-straw wand.

Thanks!  :smile2:

Go to target or Wally World if you have to and look for a flavor injector. They look like a big syringe and come with a big needle which will screw into a luer lock syringe. You may have to modify the tip a bit which is simple. They work great especially if you're sucking up 140ml of LC. Thanks Agar for telling me about 'em!

Just head over to the pet shop or maybe even the vets office. If you go to the vet ask if they have any they would be willing to part with so you can rehydrate your exotic lizard or something like that.
