HI everyone.. about 30 days ago I started colonizing two tubs with straw, and thought I had done everything correctly.. (I'm using kits, please don't judge).
The mycelium was growing fine, up until a few cold days hit, and the room temperature went down dramatically.. ever since then it seems like both of my tubs completely stalled. It's been "stalled" for at least a week or two.
A few days ago I opened my tubs to see what was going on, and one of the tubs reeks, and the straw is starting to turn a dark green colour, while the other one doesn't smell bad, and the straw is normal coloured.. both of them are at about 50/60% complete.
What would you guys do in this position?.. Would you try putting one, or both of them into fruiting conditions, and at least try to get a flush out of them?.. and if so, should I case it first?

Alright, so then I presume it's probably best to at least ditch this tub.. but what about the other one?.. Is there any way I can salvage it to get at least a flush out of it?.. Should I just case the "non-green" tub, and put it into fruiting?

the green tub I would toss. as for the apparently healthy one: I would leave it until 100% then fruit.
the only time I would say go ahead and fruit (not best advice, just me) is when it is near 100%, there are already pins on the surface, and there is a small amount of green (which I usually treat with a pinch&toss).
as for casings they are not nessecary with cubes I never had any problem leaving them out so personally I would not case any cube tub.
