If you all are watching cartoons while on mushrooms you're doing it wrong. Try closing your eye's in silent darkness as Terence McKenna preached. That's when things get strange. oh god one of them are here, you can't do them in a right or wrong way, it's very subjective, i've done it with friends, watching movies, and alone in darkness, the most refreshing and healing trips i've had were from just sitting around with some friends laughing our asses off, got me out of a bad place a few times. Terence wasn't god, he may of had a ton of wisdom to share, but that doesn't mean he's the ultimate authority when it comes to psychs. To say it's disrespectful to the experience, immediately contradicts what i HAVE experienced, to this day I've never felt better about my life then i did after a night of just having unbelievable fun and connecting with the people around me.

What works for you, doesn't work for everyone, saying you have the "right" answer to anything restricts the possibility for advancement in that field.

I agree with the second guy more, but personally i feel that everyone should spend at least one trip, locked away from everything, really beneficial for finding the center of who or what you are. The key really is to mix it up in my opinion, you let yourself become to adjusted to one particular trip then your doing it wrong(in my eyes, my eyes have been clouded by lots of hallucinogens though so i could be wrong)

I sometimes watch family guy, king of the hill, american dad, cleveland show, the fox cartoons in general when i'm coming up on dxm.

While I may not agree with how you spend your time on mushrooms, everyone should be able to enjoy as they seem fit.... Right and wrong arent great descriptive terms when talking mushrooms...

If the mushroom gods disagree with your use, you will know...  Nothing like being spanked hard for abusing mushrooms...

To each their own.... Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar

I agree, I took them one day when I had a slight hangover, didn't even really want to but my friend did, probably the worst trip I've had so far. got spanked hard enough to know I won't be taking them again unless I feel it's right and for the right reasons.

This is honestly what i usually do, do it with acid, i love seeing how far the drug can take me, with minimal sensory stimulation. But saying people are tripping wrong is kinda pretentious and tends to piss people off. IIt's funny though, because most of my friends say they could never just sit through a trip and say they'd freakout, whereas I'm the odd one when my best trips are spent sitting in darkness zoning out, and going out and walking around tends to freak me out more than anything. Idk though something feels wrong about taking a drug and just sitting in a dark room all night. Kinda druggy(not that theres anything wrong with that), i've done five or so acid trips like this and 3-4 shroom trips like this and they were all great. I just don't wanna give myself the stigma as being the guy who eats shrooms and acid and just sits around in his room in the dark all nigh.

No it's not druggy at all, it is quite the opposite. That's how shamanic cultures around the world have been doing it for thousands of years for a reason. These things may be considered drugs by our ignorant Kim Kardashian watching culture but to most other cultures these were used as sacraments to contact other worlds. Why do you think ayahuasca is so big right now? Because people are finally starting to do these things in a shamanic setting and seeing their true potential.

Ayauasca is by no means big right now. In fact, if I asked my comminity what they knew about it I bet 90 percent have never heard of it.. None of my friends know what it is..
And what are you saying about my beloved kim karsashian!??? She has the ass of a angel.. Jk, I hate them people.. They get way too much airtime.

People aren't doing things in shamanic ways bro.. Hate to burst your bubble but none of that's true. Everythings growing the opposite if anything.. All people care about is materialistic objects.. If people are gunna use drugs their main intention is to get high and have fun.. Your in the really really low minority that make it spiritual..no body I know does that, it's not a growing thing.. It's just what few people like you like to do.

And you obviously have the right respect for psyches because your so passionate about doing it that way. But seriously 99 percent of people want to just trip out, have a good laugh, munch on some food, and find the inner self we TRUELY love.

Yeah you're probably right, never hurts to try and get some people to think differently about them though as I know how much they can help. I'm probably in the wrong place to be spreading such ideas though. I disagree with you on the ayahuasca thing, it is bigger now than it has ever been with no sign of slowing down. There are 7+ billion people on this planet, just because a few people in your town don't know of it doesn't really mean anything. I've seen psychedelics come up in the New Yorker as treatment for depression and they were actually depicted in a positive light. It's growing more than you would think.

Yeah but the problem with aya is that there's always going to be that educating factor.. Id say a lot of people may know what it is, but most don't know where to get it, how to make it, dosage... There's so much education involved, it's easier to just go to the doctor and request medication. Plus it's illegal.. Out of 7+ billion how many people you think really know about it?.. A very very small fraction I'd guess.. But I'm not trying to argue that. I wish people would open their minds to psychs but it's always going to be in the grey area. People are scared of new things and people are scared of being out of control.. So as much as you like it, the common household people wouldn't take to it. Too much stigma.. I've heard of aya for years but I've never tried it or bought materials to make it.. I don't think I ever will either. Mushrooms and lsd and mescaline is much easier to produce.

Untel the baby boomer era is gone, there will always be the "drug war" culture that believe drugs are evil..

There's the stigma too it and the fact that acid and shrooms are so rare in my area that the few chances i get them i wanna do something that's going to be hard to do ever again in my life. Usually i figure when the next big celebration/holiday is and try to trip to that. Fall is corn mazes, christmas is light parades, and i always keep a dose in case theres a meteor shower lunar ecleclipse, any sort of solar event that'll more than likely be a once in a lifetime type event.
