Yes that's 100% ready to fruit, what are you planning on doing for fruiting conditions?

If you want to fruit in open air I would case it. Keep the casing very moist and it will fruit otherwise, I've done this, stick it in a mono and pour water in the mono (around your bowl).. you don't even need perlite.

Besides pouring water is there another alternative to perlite?

SGFC's take a lot of time to make, if you're going to use it more than just this occasion then yeah go for it. If you're just trying to fruit this one thing, then just use something you already have available

How long did it take for that size container take to fully colonize?

Perlite in a mono won't really do anything either. If you have a couple cakes then it may be enough substrate to make a mono work. A mini mono anyway.

If I have a small tray I need to fruit I do this all the time. It keeps humidity high in the monotub and prevents the tray from drying out. The water will evaporate and create moisture on the walls.

See the 3 "trays" in the above photo. They all have lids, once they are ready to fruit, I remove the lids and they all fit in a 66QT monotub and I pour water on the bottom of the tub around the trays.

I bet that would work even without the water poured in the monitor though. Your humidity is coming from the substrate more than the standing water. You said it yourself, the trays fill the monotub so it's like reusable liners.

You are right but I can't always have 3 trays in there @ one time. There is no water @ the bottom of that tub if you look closely. I was telling him to do that if he was only using 1 tray or bowl. whatever he's using. I pour some water in there when I only have 1 tray in there
