Football is the best sports to bet on IMO. Probably because thats the only sport i could effectively bet.

I wouldn’t even fuck with basketball aside from futures. 82 games is hard, because one game wont make or break a team and its much more likely that the Warriors lose to the 76ers than the Patriots losing to the Jaguars.

The only money bet is when teams travel west and finish their trip in Denver or Utah. Pretty much a guaranteed L due to the Altitude and Energy level.

Out of the 4 major American sports, yes. Football is by far the easiest/safest to be on.

Just like with basketball though, college football is exponentially easier to win some money. Even if you don't follow NCAAF, it's worth a shot.

For example, you see a top 25 ranked team playing against a no name school, it's 99% of the time a sure win. The payout might be low, but you make enough of those kinds of bets and it adds up quick.

I got a friend that supplements his income with about 15k a year purely from those almost guaranteed bets like in the example above. It's quite a bit of work since you have to place so many bets pretty much every day during the season, but it's the only way I truly know how to make money from home by fucking around on the computer.

And you're right about those east coast teams traveling west. The time difference and lack of energy always gets to at least a couple players on the court.

Dude if i started betting sports i didn’t know (I actually know NCAAF pretty well) it would be a few monts until I’m betting on  5 grand on White Lightning in the Alameda County Preakness.

I have a few family members that bet on horses and they lose their fucking asses. I gotta be careful

Yea, I 100% feel you on that dude.

That's why I limit my gambling to small bets between friends during the regular season of bball or football. Any "real" bet I wait for important games. Mostly to make the game more exciting, but winning a bit of money is always nice.

I know myself, and I have a fucking horribly addictive personality when it comes to drugs. I can only imagine it would affect me the same way with gambling. In fact I know it would because when I sit down at a poker table at the casino, I will stay there all night until the sun starts shining through and I realize I been drinking and gambling for like 10 hours straight.

I seen my ex's grandma be a gambling addict and that shit was sad. We would go to the casino and the poor old lady would sit at a slot machine (usually like a nickel machine) until she lost every penny she had in her pocket which would be around a grand at the beginning of the night. Her husband would have to take her ATM cards away secretly and hide them in the house.

But anyways.....I ended up missing the 2nd half of the cavs game. Did you watch it?
I just looked up the box score and it looks like the warriors went cold in the 3rd.

Something tells me that if you bet on football you would be sucking cock for pennies because you would be so broke...

The sketchy thing about Football is they unbelievably good at picking the spread spot on.

I feel ya man. I always take the weird bets or bets with friends.

I did the Cavs dominated. Steph was so off. He bricked about 5 shots a row in the clutch. LBJ’s presence was utterly dominating. I think there is an argument to be made in KD/LBJ but the Steph LBJ argument makes literally no sense to me. He is not even on that level.

The PHX/OKC game is pretty boring too. Westbrook went like 0-9 to open the game and OKC shot 3-18 in the 1st.

Absolutely. It's not even fair to compare LBJ and Curry.
Yes, they are both great players but in completely different ways.
Although if you did want to compare, the only category I believe Curry is better at would be long range jumpers.
I can't think of any other attributes that LBJ would be weaker than Curry in....Maybe free throws I guess.

Oh and hairline. Curry's definitely got a better one of those lol.

I just flipped on the OKC game to watch the 4th quarter. Hopefully it'll be somewhat entertaining.

LBJ goes 3-11 on FT’s including missing the last 2 while they were down one at the end of the game.

:burke:

I dont like Houston at all. Funny Josh Smith is a solid player with them though.

Aw man lol. I wish I would've seen that shit.
He did the same thing like a month ago. I remember watching the not top 10 and LBJ straight up bricked like 6 FT's by a foot or more. He was looking like Dwight Howard out there on the FT line.

I haven't seen one game this season that Houston has played in. For some reason I find them arrogant as fuck. I guess it's just a weird perspective I have of the team. I know for a fact that Howard is a genuinely nice dude. I don't know about Harden though.

I hate Houston, Always have. Im not a fan of Harden either. I hate the kind of basketball they play. Its ugly to watch.

I actually wanted the Cavs to win. The Cavs are a better team, Houston has no shot in hell of winning a title. You can’t count Cleveland out until they are eliminated. They may not be playing well but they have the talent (and with lebron, the experience) if they get hot at the right time LBJ may find him self in a 5th consecutive final.

I can't lie dude. I really am starting to enjoy watching the Cavs play after the all-star break.
The games I saw before all-star, they weren't playing well at all, but the couple games I seen recently I thought their offense was looking really good.

I didn't watch the game tonight, but when you got Irving, Love, and LeBron on the same team, something special is bound to happen at any game.

As far as harden goes, I used to really like him the year he won 6th man with OKC. He was the best player in the league without a doubt to be coming off the bench.

Now that he's the face of a whole franchise he just seem like an arrogant as fuck. His play is streaky as hell too...He's really not the superstar he thinks he is.

TBH, not really.
Like I said, I haven't seen one Houston game yet this season.

The past couple years though I watched a lot of Rockets' games and he played remarkably well in games, but he also had just as many games where he went like 5-20 and single-handedly lost the game for his team.

Harden has the skillset to play like a superstar, but a true one is someone that can put that skillset to use night in and night out. He's streaky man.

Oh, and fyi; You should just use the reply feature in this thread, especially if you're replying to the post directly above you. There's only 4-5 people that post in here unless it's the playoffs. So really no need to do so. Thanks.

This is harden in a nutshell. He will win you a lot of game singlehandedly but he will also lose you a lot, because he thinks he kobe and needs that Superstar moment.

um that can Be said for any superstar.. its an 82 game season.

Im sure you consider kobe a sulerstar.. im sure you've seen him go 1/13 or 7/30 or something ridiculous. Does that mean he isnt a superstar? Absolutely not..

I don't expect a superstar to be on fire for all 82 games.
Take a real superstar like LBJ though, and he has consistently put up great stats in around 75% of the games he played.
You rarely see him have a game where he doesn't contribute.

As far as Kobe goes, aside from my hatred for him as a player, I considered him a superstar until about 3 years ago. He's no longer one for the same reason Harden isn't one. He has a lot of bad games as you pointed out.

Besides LBJ, who do you consider the best player in the association right now?

KD when he's healthy. Also.. Harden is averaging 27 8 and 7 with 2 steals a game in his last 10..

That's pretty consistent if you ask me. Ya he'll have a bad game every once in awhile but you can't seriously sit there and say he isn't a superstar. He's probably gonna win the MVP this year if Steph doesn't.
