I put a tub inside of another tub of the same kind. The bottom one has a water heater set at 79. The humidity and temperature in the closed tub on top is 79. The tub is "airtight" with a foam strip around the edge of the lid. Will no airpump be fine? I bought a decent submersible heat. I read mycelium creates heat while growing. What do you all think of my temperature. I put 20ccs in 12 half pint jars bought from a place that prepackages and sterilizes jars. I'm very excited and clean my whole room wall to wall! What should I be expecting in the near future. I have no plans for my fruiting chamber. Very excited to join the community I'll be joining my club in Cali for my first foray on Sunday!

Don't bother with an incubator.Pitch it. Let the jars colonize at room temps. I would also take the name of the company out of your post. Take care!

If your climate/environment is for some reason a sustainable 60F and below, then instead of enclosing them in a TIT, I'd consider heating a small area with a small space heater monitoring the temperature with a viable thermometer. If the heating of a small area isn't suitable to your needs, install some holes into your TIT and stuff them tightly with polyfill for ample gas exchange. The reason it's mainly prescribed not to place your colonizing spawn inside of incubators is because closed environments hinder gas exchange, stall cultures, and create blooming grounds for contamination.

Do i remove the foil once I set up a tub with poly fill? Any advice on size and location of the hole/holes.

Yes they do in the craft section. Or just go buy a bedroom pillow. Most are that polyfill. One would be enough for the next decade lol. If you are sticking with your incubator get the temp down from 79. 70-75 imo.

I took it out and dried the area. I do feel safer from contamination after taking the water out of my storage closet. The temp is slowly falling. If all works out what type of fruiting chamber do you recommend for a first timer. I have enough perlite to be a inch deep in my other tub. perlite isn't necessary though. Ill buy the materials if its worth it.

If you are doing pf tek then search sgfc. I'm assuming that is what you are doing since you mentioned purchasing half pints. I myself have never done the pf tek. I read on here for a while and started with bulk grains and monotubs.
