    #21345307 - 02/28/15 05:53 PM (9 years, 10 months ago)

So i have two trays of spawn colonizing to bulk
Which i covered with a little over an inch of dry.verm for a filter however it has colonized up through the verm .i am wondering if it would mot be ideal to just cut out the verm layer and alow fruits from the substrate or would it matter ?

Just leave it at this point. If you go trying to take of the verm now it will damage the mycelium.

Pictures would help, but it sounds like it is ready to fruit...

As the nutrition is still coming from the substrate layer. It shouldnt mess up fruiting ? No one has any input?

Not negatively, compared to stripping the top layer of growing mycelium IMO

They will find the nutrition they need to develop, if your sub is healthy.
