Unfortunately farms aren't an option at the moment. I've got the usual strip malls, hardware stores, or online to shop from.
Any one have a favorite they want to suggest?

Try to hit up craigslist. Try to post or look for ads. People give that shit away like its shit. Because it is shit...

Pretty much everywhere in North America and much of Europe has bridle trails in parks nearby. They're literally covered in h-poo.

A bridle trail is like a hiking trail, but for horse people. Usually parks will put them in to keep douchebag horse people from fucking up the hiking trails, but it doesn't work.

OP just order it online or if you have a Lowes,HomeDepot,Agway,Canadian tire,Tractor Supply,A KMart with a garden center, ETC ETC Or A Greenhouse nearby They can order in bag poo for you That should work. But it is a bit early in the season so You're not likely to just run out and pick a bag up they would have to order it for you.

Yea I'm in the same boat as far as the license, but actually to find where the cops board their horses is not a bad Idea there's probably a big pile of manure from the stable cleanings and they'd probably let you have it for free,Just tell em You're getting your tomato and zucchini patch ready. Some people say that stable poo isn't as good because they add cedar to the bedding, but I,ve never been to a stable that does this.

I haven't had good experiences with bagged poo from the store, and neither did a couple of my friends who used it. Agar seems to think it's because of the salt content given to cows in feed lots and then left to ferment anaerobically in huge mountains before drying, bagging and sending to you. I think he might be on to something about the salt.

if ya gotta use composted bagged stuff dry it out on a tarp in the sun , i also like to sift the crap out of mine and only use enough to make the sub muddy which is about20% by volume, they do alright with this and straw but you can use any sub you would grow cubes on

That's possible but It has worked for me damn good but if it is all you can get you gotta work around the salt if need be.

It's never all you can get. There are a ton of other substrates you can use.

also this, pans will grow fine on any basic cube substrate, a little better with manure but nothing worth bitching about

This is good to know, I have alway seen posts which basically state that for Pan Cyans you need manure of some sort.

@cronicr That's a big relief. My agar plates are looking really good and I don't want to spoil that with crap quality...crap.
Seeing as it's Feb and I haven't seen the sun in months, drying fresh poo out in the sun or other suggestions so far would have proven pretty difficult.
Ty much!
