Very cool picture, although that one line at the top seems a little out of place to me.

that's cool.
My buddy just got a tattoo as a sort of tribute to Victor Wooten. It's a yin yang with a bass clef in front, looks pretty cool.
yours seems much more creative

Gawd I love your art! There is a completely origional and stylish flow to your lines. I liked the non inverted pic best..the inverted one seems to obscure the flow a bit About the hand thing...I had a problem with that today on a pic. I needed photographic hand in a certain position..couldn`t find the image for the life of me...so I stuck my hand in a scanner in just the right angle and scanned at 100 ppi...it was nearly perfect...I imagine you can stick anything in there and get a good shot...hmmm..that sounds a bit strange..

HB, what do you use for your computer drawings? Just Photoshop?

Never used Illustrator, I should look into it. I've seen various bits and pieces around the internet that seemed to be using whatever HB was but I could never figure out what exactly was being used for it. I don't have a lot of photoshop experience either.

Do you know of any good tutorials for Illustrator?

Time for a trip to the library, I think. Maybe I'll find some resources there.

Phluck...the most important tool of Illustrator is the PEN tool. Every single one of my drawings and animations was done with the PEN tool. It can be tricky to learn at first but once you master it, awesome detail and precision will come alive in your drawings. Below is what I was given in school to learn the pen tool. It's a maze. Use the pen tool to trace over it on a seperate layer. Do it 10-20 times until your fast and comfortable with it. I've seen this work for dozens of people learning Illustrator. The pen tool is essential! I use hot keys while drawing with it...those include: Alt + Control + Shift...useing those keys while clicking on anchor points make different thinks happen so play around with it!

I figured the pen tool was probably the most important, playing around with it is a little frustrating... but I'm sure you're right, it's just a matter of practice. I'm going to start tinkering with that maze right away.

What a great idea! I wish they would've thought of that at my college when I was learning vector drawing. Its easy once you get the hang of it though.
