ATL #7 grains ready to fruit?
    #21337359 - 02/27/15 09:16 AM (9 years, 10 months ago)

Jar was Inoculated on 22/1

Are the cracks normal?

Stones!

Is it ready to spawn? Further spawning/fruiting advice appreciated!

I usually get cracks in the colonized grains due to large stones forming, so I wouldn't worry about that.

The color looks a little strange to me. ATL always shows some yellow and brown tones, but in your jar it's a large portion all around the center. Also, the black spot in the second pic of the bottom is a little concerning. Could it be debris in your grain?

As far as fruiting goes, it looks like it's well past 100% so I'd say go for it. Just give it a smell when you open the lid and make sure it's not contaminated.

Dude I would drag my dick through a mile of broken glass for a print/syringe*, if so I'd love to return the favor with a tampanensis print when I fruit mushrooms which should be in a month and a half

Spawning with poo and case with coir, that's good? The black spot, it's black beans hehe. I'll do a beans only jar next time if I aim for stones, some flavor there :dancer:

It'll probably work.
I suggest to spawn to manure and coir and case it with anything peat based.

First of all, we're not talking about cubes.
Secondly, manure = "Poo".

Horse manure is the king of bulk substrate materials for dung loving species of fungus.  If shit didn't work well for you your pasteurization procedures must have been wry.
